Stick frame is 150 year old tech. Using stick, especially for the shell is extremely wasteful use of resources and at best, offers half the wind load strength of modern wood construction, hello SIP!

Okay, okay... I know this is Comment #3, but clearly I'm typing them as I watch, haha. I could edit the first video and put it all in one, but what's the fun in that!? I just wanted to comment how clever that storage space is in the corner of the garage, but especially the bin storage on the second level! I've not see that before but boy would that be great in my storage room downstairs! My basement sometimes backs up and I get a couple inches of water seeping. I already have everything in totes and things that don't fit in totes (luggage, Christmas tree, etc) on top of them but boy would it be nice to be able to stack them like that and label the outside. My issue, but it's the way it is, is being able to lift things, but like I said I already have to have someone come and do that for me, so to have it all organized would be great for them too! Thanks for sharing that with us, Brad! You are clever - clearly you've built a home or two in your day.😉☺ Heather🇨🇦

One question came to mind with regards to the onyx countertops and I'm sure you'll tell me that the answer is that they seal it somehow, but I wonder if onyx is so absorbent, if it is a good material for countertops, etc.? Wouldn't it be prone to staining, etc. if liquids are soaked up so easily? I always thought it was used because it wasn't porous, but I'm clearly wrong -again- ahem, I mean for the first time ever!😂 Heather🇨🇦

Another super video, Brad, though I'm sorry you are having such a hassle with this job and the delays. You explain things very well and your tricks of how to save costs and lay things out properly are invaluable. I hope you're still considering doing a video for the poor SOBs like me who may have storage issues, or something like that, and how to work with existing spaces or do minimal de/construction, haha! Aside from your content, main reason why I watch is cuz I enjoy the way you work with your staff, your family, contractors, etc. You're simply a good guy.
